IRESS is pleased to announce it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 security certification following an audit by the highly-respected British Standards Institution (BSI).

The internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification is a best practice framework for managing information security.

The certification applies to IRESS core hosting and support services in Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Andrew Walsh, IRESS CEO, said: “Having ISO/IEC 27001 certification in place provides further reassurance for our existing and prospective customers across the globe that we take an active and effective approach to our information security management program.

“Ensuring good information security management is critical for all businesses and IRESS places information security at the top of its agenda.

“The world is changing when it comes to expectations around information security. We believe it is very timely to have sought and achieved an objective, externally validated assessment that our information security management practices meet an internationally-recognised standard.”

“By gaining ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, IRESS is proving its commitment to securing the information of both its clients and its own people,” said Marc Barnes, Managing Director, BSI Group Australia & New Zealand. “IRESS is highlighting the importance of adopting information security-minded practices to remain resilient, and helping to raise the bar for the industry as a whole.”
