A team of our people have just returned safe and sound, if not a little weary, from scaling the three highest peaks of England, Scotland and Wales as part of the UK’s Three Peaks Challenge.
The challenge was undertaken to raise awareness and funds for one of our chosen charities, Talent Beyond Boundaries.
Despite a cancelled flight, two blown mini bus tyres and a whole mix of weather conditions, the challenge was completed and raised over £29k for the charity. The event was supported by the Iress Foundation, our initiative to help give something back.
Talent Beyond Boundaries opens up international employment opportunities for refugees, helping them and their families to a better life, providing talent where it is needed and reducing dependency on aid. It’s a charity close to our hearts as we were the first company to employ two professionals through the scheme in Australia, and we are working on welcoming a third.
Chris Clayton, our senior creative designer, just about had the energy to take this film while on the hike. He said: “It was a real test of endurance. Despite the obstacles, reaching the summits of each felt great and quite emotional. I’m proud to have done it and help raise so much money for the charity."
