Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Marcus joined Iress in 2022, and brings over 25 years’ experience building, leading and managing teams in the financial services and technology sectors.
He was the founding CEO of Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) which he led for more than nine years. Prior to this, Marcus held senior positions with NAB, the Boston Consulting Group, Certane Group and previously served as Chief Executive and Executive Director of both Equifax and Dun & Bradstreet.
Interim Chief Financial Officer
Anita joined Iress in November 2022 as the Group Financial Controller and stepped in as the Interim CFO in April 2023. She is an experienced finance executive with 20 years of international investment banking and listed corporate experience. Her previous roles included Head of Investor Relations & Treasury at Ansell and EMEA Finance Director at Level 3 Communications. She is a qualified accountant (FCPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons)/Science from The University of Melbourne.
CEO Managed Portfolio
John has spent most of his career in the financial services industry, holding positions with an international focus and in senior finance, strategy and operations roles. He has extensive global experience spanning UK, Asia, Europe, US and Australia, including ten years in senior leadership roles with Australia’s Commonwealth Bank. From 2016 to 2023, John was Iress’ Chief Financial Officer.
CEO, Wealth Management
Harry leads Iress' wealth management business in Australia and New Zealand. He joined Iress in 2023 and brings with him significant leadership experience in the wealth management and financial technology industries. Most recently he held executive and non-executive roles at Recreo Financial. Prior to this he was CEO of Mine Super. He also held executive roles at Commonwealth Financial Planning, Colonial First State and Bank of Scotland.
Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer
Ana joined Iress in 2018 to lead several global initiatives, before before becoming the inaugural Chief of Staff / Head of CEO Office in 2020. Prior to joining Iress Ana was a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton (now Strategy&) and a number of specialised consultancies. She ran one of Australia’s largest organic coffee brand, and served as a founding member of Commonwealth Bank’s Women in Focus program.
CEO, Trading & Market Data
Jason leads Iress' trading business in the APAC region & market data globally. He is one of the original co-founders of Xplan which was acquired by Iress in 2003. Jason has held a number of senior leadership roles at Iress, including Managing Director of Asia for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Iress, Jason was a National Sales Marketing Manager at Vision FPS and a Paraplanner at William M Mercer.

CEO, Superannuation
Paul joined Iress in 2022 and now leads our Superannuation business. Prior to joining Iress, he held senior roles at Mercer, Link Group and the Insurance Council of Australia as well as in the Federal Government, including for Prime Minister & Cabinet and the Dept of Finance. Paul was also Chief of Staff to the Assistant Treasurer from 2013 to 2015 where he managed portfolio responsibility for superannuation, banking, insurance, the ASX, and the regulators.
Chief Communications & Marketing Officer
Kelly joined Iress in 2017 and oversees a global team spanning external and internal communication, brand, digital marketing, lead generation, product marketing and product training.
Kelly has close to 20 years' experience in marketing and communications, including holding senior roles at Westpac and National Australia Bank.
Chief Innovation Officer
David joined Iress in 2023 and leads Iress' innovation division. He has many years’ experience building technology companies and driving innovation, most recently as Group CEO and Managing Director for ASX-listed credit technology company Credit Clear Ltd. He also spent seven years at PEXA as Group Executive Strategy & Corporate Development, as well as holding senior roles at Equifax Australia, the Australian Steel Institute and Telstra.
Chief Operating Officer
Justin joined Iress in 2023 and has responsibility for assisting the CEO in managing Iress’ corporate functions. He has significant experience in financial services and technology, having held senior roles in legal, governance, compliance, government relations, transformation, regulatory affairs, corporate affairs and communications. Prior to joining Iress, Mr Schmitt held senior legal roles with Westpac, National Australia Bank, PEXA and Certane.
Chief People Officer
Julia oversees all aspects of our strategic and operational HR activities, including people development, training and recruitment. Julia joined Iress in 2000 and has previously worked for BT and Vertex.
Chief Technology Officer
Andrew joined Iress to develop our culture of technology innovation. He has overseen large technology change programs for global financial services businesses, and was previously Chief Information Officer with Standard & Poor’s and IOOF.
Chief Legal Officer & Company Secretary
Peter joined Iress in 2011 and has many years’ experience in international legal and commercial positions in financial technology, including seven years with Nasdaq OMX in Stockholm, and GBST and SIRCA in Sydney.
CEO, UK
Simon joined Iress in 2015 from Ernst & Young, where he was a director in wealth and asset management. He has extensive financial services experience gained from senior management positions with Lloyds Bank, Capco and as a management consultant.
Andrew has more than 30 years' experience in capital markets, wealth management and information technology and joined Iress in 2019.
We created Iress Impact in 2017 to give our people and our business a simple way to focus our charitable activities on areas where we can have the greatest impact.
When our people want to volunteer their skills or raise money for individual causes, we support them with 3 days of charity leave every year and our Matching program.
In 2022, we expanded our partnership with Talent Beyond Boundaries, a global not-for-profit that works with governments and businesses to give refugees and other displaced people access to skilled employment opportunities.
