XPLAN rated number one financial planning software for ninth consecutive year

IRESS’ advice and wealth management platform XPLAN has been named the number one Australian financial planning software by research house Investment Trends for the ninth consecutive year.

XPLAN achieved a 94.3% score – the highest score in the eleven years of the report – and led in the five categories of client management, advice provision, portfolio management, practice operations and integration.

The 2015 Financial Planning Software Benchmark Report also found that IRESS continued a solid development program for XPLAN during the year.

In addition, the report found that IRESS’ ongoing commitment to an expansive view of client engagement within a planning practice means XPLAN is responsible for most new client engagement functionality.

IRESS Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Walsh, said: “We are very pleased to be named the top financial planning software for the ninth year in a row. We continue to invest heavily in our products and services to ensure we meet the evolving needs of our clients.

“2016 will see the deployment of our next generation scalable advice solution, XPLAN Prime, providing flexible, unified solutions that further leverage the advice platform capabilities of XPLAN.”

“The report’s observations that the future of wealth technology is evolving, with post FoFA development focus continuing to exaggerate client management, process efficiency and automation and scaling of advice, is consistent with the trends we have anticipated. In particular, IRESS’ next generation scalable advice solution XPLAN Prime embodies IRESS’ commitment to objective-based planning efficiency, leveraging unified technology across advice channels. “
