While the effects of COVID-19 are felt around the world, we are seeing an acceleration of remote working and a rapid focus on evaluating and de-risking the end-to-end value chain.

With the increased demand for technology to increase remote working capabilities, Iress has reviewed how best we can assist our clients with their move to iLoan.

The transfer of existing perFIX functionality into iLoan provides us with a unique opportunity to do this and we are excited to share the proposed strategy with you below.

We're investing in more innovative means of communication with Strate for both settlement intimations and collateral exposure reporting into Clearstream. Using an API interface you'll benefit from lower cumulative latencies and overall improved efficiencies.

The first of our Industry Data initiatives which compares the Volume Weighted Average Fee with the price of the underlying security will be available in Q2 and enhances the information already available in the Indication of Availability (IOA) screens.

We look forward to engaging with you on the exciting start of our move to iLoan.

Built for your best performance

To address the challenges presented by working remotely the testing of the perFIX functionality available in iLoan will be done in parallel to your daily BAU processes.

How this will work is that the scripts required to send the transaction data into iLoan will be deployed into the SLAMS production environment after sign off by users so that when loans and returns are booked these transactions will be available in both iLoan and perFIX so that the only testing required will be to verify that the data is the same in both platforms.

Iress will set up short weekly project meetings to provide training and support and to present users with the opportunity to provide feedback and raise any issues experienced.

Testing will begin in April for the Auto Recon functionality and as additional screens become available in iLoan these will be made available and follow the same process for testing and sign off until users are fully migrated.
